Our Vision
To leverage our long heritage of providing support and education to local fathers and elementary students and seek to expand this learning through new channels of distribution to increase the impact far beyond the local Springfield Ohio area.

Years of Experience
Urban Light Ministries is a pioneer in addressing the growing systemic problem in America: the need for a father in a child's life. Organized over 25 years ago we continue to serve fathers and children in the Springfield and greater Clark County area. Research shows when a child is raised in a father-absent home he or she is affected in the following ways:
- 4 times greater risk of poverty
- 7 times more likely to become pregnant as a teen
- More likely to abuse drugs and alcohol
- 2 times more likely to drop out of school

The Sonshine Clubs Need Your Help
The Sonshine Clubs are currently provided in over 12 schools with over 500 participants. Providing this free service to children in these very important years take volunteers and funds.

Consider a donation to support the Sonshine Clubs Technology Fund where we are now developing video- based curriculums and phone apps to reach more children.
