Eric Smith has a BA with a double major in World History and International Studies from Taylor University. Eric’s experience includes a total of three years of consulting work in Africa in the area of community development with an emphasis on organizational capacity building to improve community health, literacy, leadership, micro-enterprise, and food security programs. Eric also has six years of direct service experience with the local Community Action Agency where he was a Workshop Facilitator and Unit Team Leader for a program serving the unemployed and underemployed on a Job & Family Services Clark County contract. His training certificates include Bridges Out of Poverty. Currently, Eric is serving as the Program Director for the Miami Valley Partnership for Fathers, a collaborative effort of four organizations dedicated to supporting, celebrating, empowering, and equipping fathers, youth, and children in the region. Because of its experience providing quality services to men and fathers since 2006, Urban Light Ministries, Inc. was awarded lead agency status in this new state-funded initiative. Eric is active in his church and community and serves on the Guiding Coalition for the Clark County Circles campaign.
Eric resides in Clark County with Martha, his wife of 4 years.
